Video editing, at the end of the day, ultimately boils down to telling a story and causing the viewer to feel something about that story, whether that be laughter, empathy, or the undeniable, unequivocal, burning desire to buy your product and/or service.

There are an endless number of individual pieces at play—music, imagery, messaging, intended audience, platform, builds and drops—the list goes on, but finding the bigger picture is paramount.

I enjoy putting all the pieces of that puzzle together, and if I’ve done my job correctly, the viewer turns off their television or closes their browser window having had an experience.

Or something like that.
